A FORMER Celtic Boys Club coach accused of abusing starlets five years earlier he died told how he feared his 'unusual name' could have been to blame.

Lyness Malley - who passed abroad last month aged 83 - had previously denied claims he abused a starlet at Barrowfield training footing in 1969 and 1970.

Malley told of his daze at being accused of preying on young players dreaming of Parkhead celebrity.

"She said a person has made an allegation against you that you lot touched them.

"I told her information technology was a false allegation because I accept washed nothing."
